Monastic Communities of Jerusalem

The name of Jerusalem
that was received and given to the Communities,
reminds them their vocation to holiness.

Patron saint of all the cities, favourite place of the meeting of the man and God, city where Jesus died and rose, city where the Spirit was given to the Church founded by the Christ, to sanctify and lead it, melting pot of the first pre-monastic Christian communities, blessed City for all Abraham's sons and, finally, promise of the Kingdom to come, Jerusalem thus reminds the members of the Family that bears its name, of their city-dweller vocation that remains centered on Christ, paschal, spiritual, fraternal, eschatologic and opened to the ecumenical spirit.
